FAQ on Serial Communication

Garbled Code

  1. Mismatch in baud rate settings: The baud rate settings between Tx and Rx must be consistent. If the baud rates do not match, the data will not be parsed correctly, resulting in garbled characters. Ensure that the baud rate settings at both ends are consistent.
  2. Incorrect setting of data bits, stop bits or parity check bits: Serial communication requires correct setting of data bits, stop bits and parity check bits. If these settings do not match, the data will also be garbled. Check and confirm the data bits, stop bits and parity check bits shall be matched with actual demands.
